My Story

781CB75B-B9E6-42D4-B07C-94AF1320B74B.JPG

I am Daniella DeNicola, and most people call me Dani. I grew up in New Jersey in a sports-loving family. Instead of trips to tropical destinations or European countries, my family and I went to sports games.

I knew in high school that I wanted to work in sports. Sports was one of the few things that I truly felt connected to. It's given me friends, passions, and experiences I could never dream of.

Sports has given me a home. It's shown me the power of community and loyalty. It's been there for me when I've been at my lowest.

Which is why I love sports communications. I want to have the ability to show people how sports can impact their lives. It can be either from attending their first Texas football game or reading about a small-town hero. It's my passion to share the community that is sport.

Fun facts about me:

  • I am a die-hard New York Yankees and New York Knicks fan. I will defend those teams like my life counts on it.

  • I am an avid reader. In 2022, I read 150 books. In 2023, I read a little over 100 books. I am not ashamed to admit my favorite genre is romance.

  • My favorite arena I've ever been to is Climate Pledge Arena, home to the Seattle Kraken.

  • I have an identical twin sister (she was born first before you ask). She went to LSU.

Experience:

  • Gameday Assistant for Texas Athletics

  • Public Relations Intern for the Players League

  • President/Coach of Oregon Women's Club Lacrosse

  • Co-Membership Director of Oregon Women In Sports Communication

  • Student Envoy for World Athletics

  • D1 Ranking Representative for the NWLLL for WCLA
